Nev is the Non-Executive Chair of Future Battery Minerals and the Director and Deputy Chair of Strike Energy Limited.
With more than four decades of experience in mining, minerals processing, construction and steel making, Nev has accumulated a wide range of skills and knowledge across multiple sectors of the commercial and Not for Profit global business landscape.
From 2011 to 2018, Nev was Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Fortescue Metals Group Ltd, one of the world’s largest, lowest cost producers of iron ore. During his time Fortescue more than quadrupled its production to over 170 million tonnes per annum and positioned itself as the lowest cost supplier of seaborne iron ore to China.
Before joining Fortescue, he held Chief Executive positions at Thiess and the Smorgon Steel Group.
Nev also has an extensive background in agribusiness and aviation, holding both fixed wing and helicopter commercial pilot licenses.
Mr Bevan has been involved in businesses areas as diverse as healthcare, construction and engineering, resources and information services. He has extensive senior management experience having been the Managing Director, CEO and Chairperson of several listed and unlisted companies, including most recently being the founding Managing Director of Cassini Resources Limited.
In October 2020, Cassini Resources was acquired by OZ Minerals Limited (ASX:OZL) via a Scheme of Arrangement. Mr Bevan continues his involvement with OZ Minerals as the WA Advisor to the West Musgrave Project. Mr Bevan is currently Non-executive Chairperson of Narryer Metals Ltd (ASX:NYM) and Duketon Mining Limited (DKM). The Board considers that Mr Bevan is an independent Director.
Mr L’Herpiniere is a seasoned exploration management and project generation expert with a robust track record spanning over two decades and more than 20 countries. As the former Head of Exploration at Fortescue, Mr L’Herpiniere has honed his skills in leading extensive mineral exploration initiatives globally.
In addition to his extensive field experience, Mr L’Herpiniere is a founding partner at Ibaera Capital, a resource-focused private equity firm that manages assets worth USD 150 million. Since 2019, he has played a pivotal role in the development and strategic direction of the Rogozna project, contributing his vast knowledge and industry insights to ensure its success.
Mr L’Herpiniere is currently also the Managing Director of Strickland Metals Limited (ASX: STR) and Non-executive Director of Austin Metals Limited (ASX: AYT). Mr L’Herpiniere is a member of the AUSIMM.
Mr Halliday is a geologist with 30 years of corporate and technical experience, having been involved in the discovery and funding of multiple, large scale, mineral projects across five continents, including a large-scale REE project in Western Australia.
Mr Halliday has founded or co-founded a number of successful junior mining companies, such as Gryphon Minerals, Venture Minerals, Renaissance Minerals, Alicanto Minerals & Blackstone Minerals and has held numerous executive and non-executive roles in the mining industry since 2001. He founded Adamus Resources Ltd, which he grew from a A$3M float to a multi-million ounce emerging gold producer.
Mr Halliday is currently a Non-Executive Director of Oceana Metals Ltd (ASX:OCN).
Mr Smith has more than 35 years’ experience as a geologist across a wide range of commodities and global jurisdictions. He has over 20 years’ experience in investor engagement, corporate management and board responsibilities with private and ASX-listed companies.
Mr Smith is currently also a non-Executive Director of Aruma Resources Limited (ASX:AAJ) and TG Metals Limited (ASX: TG6)
Jamie has over 20 years’ experience in corporate governance, audit and company secretarial roles. He has held senior financial positions with several ASX-listed companies, and is an experienced CFO and Company Secretary with experience in management, Board governance, ASX/ASIC compliance and reporting for resource-focused businesses.
Jamie is currently Executive Director, CFO & Company Secretary for Critica Limited, a Non-Executive Director of Codrus Minerals Limited and has previously served as Company Secretary for Blackstone Minerals Limited.
