Killi Resources has kicked off its field season at the Ravenswood North gold project, seeking the same rich intrusive-style mineralization that has endowed the famous Queensland gold district with almost 30 million ounces of the precious metal.
Bullion is on the mind at recently-listed Killi (ASX:KLI), which will begin with a ~550 sample program of soil sampling across its Hotspur, West Branch, Rocky and Success West gold prospects.
It’s one of the best postcodes for a rich gold discovery, surrounded by major gold deposits with Ravenswood, Charters Towers, Mt Leyshon, Mount Success, Mount Wright and Far Fanning all within 50km.
But there is more than just nearology in play here. Killi has identified four magnetic lows in airborne magnetics that hint at the potential for big intrusion related gold structures.
“We are really pleased to be on the ground in Queensland starting our first exploration program for the 2022 field season,” Killi CEO Kathryn Cutler said.
“Given the district we are in and the proximity to multi-million ounce gold systems within 50km, we are very excited to explore this project and understand the significance of our highly prospective magnetic anomalies.”
“The results of this campaign will assist us in prioritising the most prospective areas which will be the subject of further exploration in the near future.”
